Dragon Age: Origins is perhaps one of my favorite games of all time, I played it over and over on my Xbox 360. What I'm wondering is if I should get it on PC. It's been a while since I've played it and I havn't gotten any of the extra content packs other than awakening.

The chronological order is -Origin -Awakening -Golem of Amgarrak -Witch Hunt. Doing this way allows you to import your save to the next one and then to DA2 if you want. Due to the quantity of DLC (mainly the high price tag on Awakening, which comes in the ultimate edition), all of the DLC actually does cost a lot of money. I would definitely go with the Ultimate Edition.
For a mage, that stamina regeneration translates as magic regeneration. With very high quality light armor set, Wynne could cast her heals almost endlessly, requiring just very small breaks while waiting for magic to regenerate. And that specific set already gave her a hefty bonus to magic to begin with.
Xerica Nov 29, 2017 @ 7:39am. DAO combat is ok. just have to use the tactics correctly and pause to give orders . its a pause fight pause fight game. you pick threat targets etc. DA2 is more fast pace and doesnt really take much strat. DA2 combat and play is easier on console than pc in my opnion.

If you imported you DA:O save into DA:A, the Awakening save counts as a Dragon Age Origins and as a Dragon Age Awakening save file at the same time. Basically importing the awakening one also would import all the information regarding Origins and so on.
Well, I happen to have 50 bucks laying next to me, and I've been tempted to get Dragon Age for a while on PC. Dragon Age origins Vanilla is only 30 bucks on steam, non sale. set your graphics to medium. if that doesnt work set them to low. if you are still crashing there are user made patches that seem to work. the game doesnt play well with graphics set to max for many systems. espec if you blow the reqs out of the water like mine does. If that is the case, then play Dragon Age 2 - including DLCs - if you want to experience NPCs and events that lead to Inquisition.
